Continental 60A alternator - with gears - $500
Rebuilt DOFF10300F (ES4001) Ford alternator and gears with FAA certificate. - $615 from Aircraft Spruce WITHOUT GEARS. For gears see AS attaching parts. The gear set is more expensive than the alternator. This came with my rebuilt TCM IO-360 engine for my experimental but decided to go with a lighter weight experimental alternator. You can also get the new Zeftronics regulator below (with overvoltage control)
Zeftronics R15V00-A regulator $100
Includes overvoltage protection. Unused. Got it new from Aircraft Spruce ($146.85). Fits alternator above - and will work with other aircraft alternators.
Cabin heater (oil) - $125
Here is a project I started but did not finish. This is a 10 row Harley oil cooler with a shroud and mounted fan (8.25" x 3.5" x 3.5" deep) to blow the heat into the cabin. This is compact enough to fit into various places in your Long EZ or other canard. Just add plumbing. It can make a difference to your comfort. Took a while to craft the shroud and attach suitable fan. My loss, your gain.
11 Light Speed Engineering SPARK PLUG ADAPTORS - $10 each
These are used with LSE ignitions. 18mm thread, 3/4" long reach for 12mm spark plugs. ($24 from LSE)
Six, CHT thermocouple sensors. - $15 each or $60 for 6
Westach 18mm spark plug mount, 48" long.
Two FACET fuel pumps 12V. - $15 each
FACET fuel pumps 12V 1/8 NPT (FP-40106). Used but worked great when removed.
Two plastic grey eye-ball swivel vents - $10 each
$18 each at Aircraft Spruce

BN-1 spinner rear bulkhead plate - $30
8" dia BN-1 rear bulkhead plate. SAE #2 bolt pattern. FAA-PMA $69.75 at Aircraft Spruce Part Number 10004-R.
Two A-920 control cables - $20 each
A-920 push-pull control cables. 108" and 120" lengths.
Misc AN fittings and Hour Meters - half price.
Here is a collection of AN aluminum fittings and parts. A number of specialized, hard to get fittings and a few I even machined myself. Just what you may be looking for.

The two hour meters have 155 and 304 hours. Just pick the one that has less than your aircraft and then connect a 12V battery until the hours read what you need. Had an accident twice where the hour meter was connected to power when I was fixing things and the hour meter went beyond real time - so had to buy a new one and run it until it went to the proper time.

IVO magnum 66" dia pusher blades, 45" to 105" pitch range, $550
Used, good condition. About 60 hrs on blades. These are left hand blades for standard aircraft engine pusher configuration. AFAIK it will also fit the Tracy RD-1B redrive for tractor and RD-1C for pusher configuration. I sold the IVO hub so I have the blades left over - good for spares if you trash your blades like I did. New blades from IVO are $960.
Seat belts with single shoulder strap - $20/each - 4 available
I got these brand new from JCWhitney.com (currently $35/each). They are manually adjustable which saves weight of a retract system.
Firesleeve for 3/8 fuel hose - $5
Brand new. 1 foot length. For 303, 601 or rubber fuel hose.
AEROQUIP 601 fittings - $20
Two 601 fittings as shown mounted on 10" of AEROQUIP 666-6 hose (3/8 ID) This did not suit my carb app since it is too rigid for the tight bend I needed. The two fittings were $31.18 from Wicks. I noticed some seeping of fuel on the hose connections so you will have to get new hose.
5 feet 1-3/4 CAT ducting - $10
($17 from Spruce/Wicks).
Aileron A5/A2 complete bracket set - $20
Got these to make a new aileron but they arrived late.
Hydraulic actuators (cylinders) - $50 each
Got these four left over from my project. All good working condition.
2 - brass body, 1.5" bore, 3.75" stroke, 1500psi working pressure
1 - brass body, 1" bore, 5" stroke, 1500psi working pressure
1 - steel body, 1.25" bore, 3.25" stroke, 5000psi working pressure.
70A almost new alternator - $120 + S/H
I went through several alternators before solving my problem. This is somewhat larger capacity than I needed. I hunted this one down because it has CCW cooling fans, the same direction as aircraft engines. Automotive alternators are generally CW. The ones sold by Vans/Spruce, etc. for experimentals are CW and have the wrong cooling fan orientation. I converted it to a single grove pulley - took some machining to get the right pulley bushing. Anyway this is an excellent alternator weighing just under 10lbs.
55A lightweight Denso alternator - $60 + S/H
The alternator I sold from the Franklin engine was very dependable. This is an exact spare replacement alternator. 55A, with internal regulator and only 6lb 9oz weight. You can get a V pulley from local auto wreckers. My current IO-360 Continental engine uses a gear driven alternator and not belt driven one.
SQ2000 cowling for sale - make offer

Other Useful Information:

Aluminum Manifold fittings:
Make your own aluminum manifold fittings and save a pile of AN fitting contortions. On the left is a centerline drilling jig for 3/4 x 3/4 aluminum rod I made from scrap angle iron and a 3/8 OD x 1/4 ID steel tubing and a 12" long 1/4" drill bit. The sample shown is connection to replace Airflow Performance dual pump original fittings that looked like huge spaghetti.

I use 3/4 x 3/4 square 6061T6 aluminum which I find sufficiently strong and thick enough for drilling both 1/4 and 1/8 NPT thread. The 6061T6 is best for machining (drilling and taping) compared to other aluminum grades that are not as machinable.

Mig welder:
(2001) Splurged about $500 on a Mig welder system for welding steel and aluminum. Hope to get good enough to make the engine mount. I could fabricate small items for your needs for a small fee.

05/21/2010 Update: The Mig welder performance was deteriorating to near useless - even after replacing the gun assembly. I replaced it with a Hobart 140 Handler. It is a great welder and got a great price - $450 for welder with cart at local Runnings farm store. I had the old welder for 9 years and felt the purchase was justified - and spouse chipped in to help with cost (near my birthday).

Small Metal lathe:
I found this tool extremely useful for making small shafts, odd size bushings, threaded aluminum rods, etc. For sale (after plane competion) or for small fee will do small jobs for you.

Suppliers I found:

http://www.mcmaster.com/
They have a lot of specialized items I could not find elsewhere - valves, special length screws, etc.

www.sdp-si.com
This company has a lot of unique gears, pulleys, shafts, that you may not be able to find at standard kit aircraft suppliers. I purchased the telescoping universal joint (part number A 5X 8-SE3216, about $166) for the yoke adaptation to transfer the yoke compound telescoping/rotational motion to the ailerons. According to their ads, they also customize parts for your needs.

www.fiberglast.com
This place has lots of fiberglass supplies - including KLS E-glass at lower price. Their System 2000 epoxy appears to be high strength and high Tg temperature and cheaper than the Hudco stuff recommended by KLS Composites but it is thicker requiring some extra scraping, etc. for wetting. It appears that their System 2000 epoxy is the same as AeroPoxy available from Aircraft Spruce at a lower cost.
